At the Social Cognitive Development at University of California Santa Barbara, we study infants and children in order to understand the origins of human beliefs and behaviors. Our research uses methods from cognitive development to investigate the building blocks of social cognition, and how early experiences lay the groundwork for understanding of the social world and social behavior.
