Quantum Institute
Description
Non-linear dynamics in scientifically important physical systems is the focus for research in the Quantum Institute. Current research and training includes material systems as diverse as nanostructured magnets, quantum electronic structures, liquid crystals, complex fluids, superfluids, superconductors, pattern formation during crystal growth, and strongly driven molecular systems. While time scales for the phenomena vary from hours and days to femtoseconds, extensive common ground is found in non-linear science in condensed matter physics.
