The goal of this workshop is to provide insight and tools that graduate students and postdoctoral researchers need to advance their science career. This includes practical advice on career options, applying for jobs, and work environments. In addition, because the transition from graduate student to science careers is where many women and minorities choose to leave science, special attention will be paid to issues facing these groups. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn from distinguished speakers as well as participate in hands-on activities.
