The mission of The Garland Initiative for Vision at UC Santa Barbara is to foster an ambitious program of interdisciplinary research and education in stem cell biology, with a focus on developing therapies for ocular disease, especially Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy.
