Description

BMSE at UC Santa Barbara is devoted to provide cutting-edge research and post-graduate education at the interface between the Biological and Physical/Engineering Sciences. In fact, we are an integral component of the widely recognized outstanding interdisciplinary programs at UCSB. Drawing its faculty of experts from eight departments and two colleges, BMSE develops graduate students for leadership positions in the exploding fields of interdisciplinary sciences. Two curricular emphases are designed to develop a cadre of outstanding scientists well versed in quantitative aspects of modern biological science.
